What are the entry requirements?

There are no pre-requisites to enter this training program. However, Optimum Training Academy screens students according to the following criteria:

Physical attributes requirements

The unit of competency to which this strategy applies requires that students must be able to perform manual handling tasks safely. Thus, they must have the physical capacity to use appropriate equipment, posture and handling techniques to conduct a manual move and/or lift.

Licensing, Legislative, Regulatory or Certification Considerations

Specific licensing /regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training according to relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

Industry standards recommend that manual handling training be conducted every two years.


What are the resources needed to complete the course?

Is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) available?

Due to the requirement for annual retraining in the competencies contained within this unit, RPL will not be offered.
